The Birmingham Civil Rights Heritage Trail has more than 70 stops throughout the downtown district and beyond. It highlights the unforgettable role that Birmingham played in the fight for civil rights in America throughout the 50’s and 60’s. The Graves building is located next to 2 of these sites, telling the stories of the events and people that were part of the movement and change. The Trail was named a National Historic Monument by President Obama recently.
